It's amazing what you can see if you stop doing things for a day or two. This week, busy Kenneth (and Kenneth's newly aquired "flu") slows things down (just a little) and kicks back to watch Petter Solberg tear up Perth, whales play in the Indian Ocean and the odd independent film.Monday, 7 November 2005Monday and a new week. The weeks go very quickly down here and the weekends go even faster. At work the scoping of data, going through drawings etc continues. I feel I'm learning something new and will get something out of this.Spent the night with friends (Page, Darren, Stacy, Puay, Stuart and Ken). Ken served us different Thai dishes. Tuesday, 8 November 2005Normal day at work. Nothing special happened today. Nice with a relaxed evening. Used the night to speak with friends in Norway and plan New Year. Looks like it will be a trip to London.Wednesday, 9 November 2005Not that much happened today except for work. Influensa going around the office at the moment and I've caught it. Therefore, I have to take it a bit easy until I become well again. Have booked tour to London today.Thursday, 10 November 2005Today Gary Morrison started for Clough. He worked for Omega earlier and has good experience with Pims CMS from before. I think we can have a good working relationship. The whole Commissioning team was out at the pub today after work.Took a little trip to Brazilian night. Met a girl called Heeah there. She is from Korea. Friday, 11 November 2005
This weekend is the rally in Perth. A group from work went to see Petter Solberg and co. There was an audience-friendly stage in Glouchester Park. Petter won both his races. Thought most of the Norwegians in Perth were here. Norwegian flags everywhere. Saturday, 12 November 2005Starting the day with surfing at Trigg Beach. I am still a beginner, but learn a little more every time. Allison from work came and surfed. She is a very sporty girl and, of course, much better than me.After the surfing, Puay and I went whale watching. This was an organised tour that took us out in a boat to see the whales. An impressive sight! Sunday, 13 November 2005
Today I played tennis with Ken and Puay. I am lucky and have a tennis court right outside the apartment. Went to the movies at night. Went to a cinema in Leedleville where they show more independent movies, not just Hollywood movies. Saw a film called You, me and everyone we know. |
